There are two ways of voting absentee:

  1. In-person (at city hall 1040 Harley Davidson Way) absentee voting – this can be done up through February 1st until 6:00 pm.  They must have a photo Id.
  2. Absentee voting by Mail – an application can be picked up at  City Hall or at Meade County Auditor’s office or at the Secretary of States website  – the original application should be returned by mail or dropped off at City Hall.  It must include a copy of the voter’s ID or the voter’s signature on the application must be notarized.  Once we receive the application we will send the ballot out to the applicant and they can mail the ballot back in the envelope that is provided. THEY MUST MAKE SURE THAT THEY SIGN THE BACK OF THE ENVELOPE THAT IS PROVIDED FOR THE BALLOT.   Call 605-347-4422 if you should have any questions.
