A No Vote on the proposed
referendum will put
$1,000,000 Back into the Sturgis Community for improvements like:

  • A new aquatics recreation area
  • Upgraded Batting cages at the Titan Ballfields

Improvements to the existing Marcotte Property include:

  • Rebuilding & upgrading Otter Road
  • Removing the low water crossing on Elk & installing a "dry crossing"
  • Upgraded Red Cut Trail Access
  • New trail System including nearly a FULL MILE OF NEW TRAIL
  • Incorporating the City's master bike plan & elements of Sturgis Mountain Bike Trail System
  • New park structure & play area
  • 27.75 acres with a "no development" deed restriction
    • - 23.75 acres will remain natural & undisturbed
    • - 4 acres of irrigated & fully maintained park

Continued Economic Growth

Further Growth allows for our workforce to grow

Further growth increases the community’s customer base for existing and future restaurants and stores

Provides additional customers to reduce the utility rates in the City

Increases value of the community by 6%, can allow future Councils to further reduce property taxes
